Cactuar Collections - Disc One (FFVII)

  • Streaming + Download

Includes unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

BONUS ITEM: 6-string guitar & 5-string bass tabs included with downloads.

For these cover versions, parts originally intended for synths, harps, piano or other instuments have been adapted for guitar and bass to play them in certain ways; in some cases requiring unusual tunings to play comfortably on the neck.

As I was unable to find tabs elsewhere that had done this, I had to work out my own ways to play these parts on guitar and bass, so these tabs may be fun for fellow FF fans and guitarist/bassists.

about

The first in a trilogy of albums covering and updating some of our favourite music from the PlayStation 1 trilogy of FF games - Final Fantasy VII, VIII & IX.

Also on Spotify: open.spotify.com/album/7iahr0s2WZN10qTr3eiQgw?si=b3si3KlbS2eo5ecmylWSXw

Created by Josh Trinnaman of Cactuar Collective, 'Disc One' adds aesthetics from IDM, Breakcore, Metal, Jazz-Fusion, Hip-Hop, Prog-Rock, Math-Rock, Electronica and more into Nobuo Uematsu's classic VII tracks.

This album is a nostalgic love-letter focused on remaining authentic & respectful to the original tones, structures & arrangements of specifically the PS1 versions of these tunes,

I've written some articles going into more detail about this project:

Tabs for 6-string guitar & 5-string bass for all the parts come included with downloads.
